Threatened species of the central Murray region NSW
In 2024, Murray Local Land Services contracted PeeKdesigns to create a brochure of threatened species in their region. To enable sufficient details to be included, as well as good identifying photos, we recommended an increase in physical size to create an A5 booklet. The result allowed us to work on a guide that provided a good blend of detail in a practical size.
This booklet was prepared using the NSW government brand guidelines to meet both print and web accessibility requirements.
About the booklet
This guide is intended to aid the rapid identification of some threatened animals and plants of the central Murray Local Land Services region, NSW. The information provided is introductory only.
The central Murray Local Land Services region broadly corresponds to the 350–650 mm rainfall zone, where remnant native vegetation has been extensively cleared. The NSW Murray Biodiversity Management Plan generally identifies this region as a high-priority area for repairing and restoring native vegetation.
