Mitchell River book launched

Gippsland Grammar interviewWillie the Woolly sheep has a curious streak. He decides to follow the water from where it falls high up in the Great Diving Range and follows it down the Mitchell River, through the Gippsland Lakes and out to the ocean. This is the synopsis of Gippsland Grammar students’ story “A trip down the Mitchell River”.

It was a great opportunity for students from Gippsland Grammar to be present to officially launch their book today (13 May 2014) with the help of the Hon. Ryan Smith MP – Minister for the Environment and Climate Change, and Youth Affairs.

These students had to opportunity to talk to the Minister at length about the book and other ‘green’ programs they have running at their school. They also spoke to WIN News journalists and were excited about the chance to be on TV.

This book is the first of 10 from the Gippsland Lakes to be printed under the Love Our Lakes Enviro-Stories program.  You too can read Willie the Woolly sheep’s journey at www.envirostories.com.au/portfolio/2014-book02/
